- Yes it's for fun and at the same time, raising awareness for the disease. At first I was hesitant but it became a trend. I just hope that all those who did the challenge are really genuine in knowing what ALS would mean. People could do some research on what it is. GMA 7's Front Row Program has made a documentary on Filipinos who are experiencing ALS. I have watched it air last week. You can watch it below.
- Water will not be wasted. It's not because Project Awesome PH will be using salt water from Zambales Beach, but it's because the event will be held in a football/ soccer field. Once we poured out the water on our heads, it will be on soil ground, where it would look like we watered the whole soccer field! (A little exaggerated but hey, it's the truth!) There are many hate comments on Facebook regarding the wasting of water. At first I'm not impressed by the fact that we could be wasting water (I'm a sustainability advocate, water is essential, hello!!), but I've figured out that in some way, we are not.
- Donations will be given to our fellow countrymen under the ALS, to the patients from Philippine General Hospital. High five for Project Awesome! You are awesome for thinking of this! At least we could see how the event could help our own people. "Tulong para sa kapwa pilipino" theme, I love it! Bayanihan never ends!
- TWO HEADS ARE BETTER THAN ONE. If you're saying that it's wasting water, I suggest that the challenge should be done by partners, back to back!
